MEET MARKET REPORTER LAURA AVERY, WINE GURU STACIE HUNT AND WITNESS A COOKING CHALLENGE BETWEEN FRED ERIC (VIDA) AND SANG YOON (FATHERÕS OFFICE)

LOS ANGELES, CA - February 25, 2003 – Every Saturday from 11 am to noon, listeners throughout Southern California share a common ritual: they tune to public radio station KCRW (89.9 FM and KCRW.com), to hear EVAN KLEIMAN, chef/owner of Angeli Caffe and host of GOOD FOOD.  Evan and her guests share the news about foods in season at Santa MonicaÕs Farmers Markets, talk about the newest trends in supermarket fare, reveal the latest discoveries in ethnic dining, discuss the smartest ways to cook as well as the science and history of foods, both plain and exotic.  Now, for the first time, GOOD FOOD appears LIVE ONSTAGE at the award-winning Geffen Playhouse in Westwood, on MONDAY, MARCH 10th beginning at 7 pm.

Experience the sights and smells of the range of food topics covered each week on air. Evan is joined onstage by Laura Avery, host of the Good Food weekly ÒMarket ReportÓ feature, and by Good Food Wine Guru Stacie Hunt, of Du Vin Wine & Spirits for a tasting of wines. Audience members will taste some of the California fresh produce available each week at the area farmers markets and sample the wines.

Evan also referees a cook-off between chef Sang Yoon, former chef at Michael's restaurant and now owner of Father's Office brew pub, and Fred Eric of Vida and Airstream diners fame. Yoon and Eric will be handed a selection of surprise ingredients with 30 minutes to create something edible. Members of the audience will be the judges and help in the preparation.
